Prep ( Police)

Last week on Monday the  9th the whole of Grey main school all participated in  a thing called prep. A few weeks ago everyone had to write a letter to what job they wanted to apply for there were a lot of jobs that you could sign up for like Banker, police, working in other classes or advertisement agency. I really like the idea of the police so i signed up for it and a few days later i go an email back from mrs O and she had said i got the job i was so looking forward to being a police the next day we had to go and meet her in her office and there were other people who got in for police too we sat down and she explained everything use police officers had to do like we had to walk around the school making sure all the kids were on task and if they were we would give them a me card and that would go into the draw box and if they weren't on task then we would report them to Mrs O and she would take care of it and that is a little summary of prep hope you liked my post . 

 

Extinct Animal

Last week T2 got asked to  find an extinct animal and do some Research about the animal so I choose the desert rat kangaroo. They are quite interesting animals! Here is the link to the Google Site that I made.

My Grandparents house

  

This week T2 got told that it was grandparents day on Friday so I decided to do descriptive memory poem.

Looks like:  Pretty rose in the front garden blowing in the cool breeze.

Smells like: grandmas  Freshly baked cookies sitting on the table waiting for me.

 Feels Like: A warm, comfortable  and a  happy place.

Sounds like: Grandad losing in a good game of monopoly.

This Friday was grandparents day and T2 had to make something that we loved or remember about our grandparents this is mine.

Dear Gloria ( great grandmother )
I loved baking and decorating cakes with you and always getting the first one to test them. I loved when you took us fishing and we caught quite a lot of fish and took them home for pop to cook. I love how much you take care of your garden and you always ask me to help and I will always say yes and afterwards you would quickly give me a handful of chocolates to eat with my sisters and you would tell us not to tell Mum and Dad. Thank you for being there when i needed you.

I miss you so much  and am really excited to come visit you sometime  again, 

Well once the hole look down thing is over then we might come to see you. Here are some fun things I remember doing with you when I started at your house.

 Do you  remember when me, Destiny, Jaci and Dad had always gone to your house and how we would always mess up your teddy bears when you weren't looking  and you wouldn’t notests them but a few days later that you quote us doing it and we told you that every time we came to stay we would always do it.

What is a butterfly

Butterflies are a beautiful type of  insects. With large scaly wings that can be all different kinds of colours. Like all other  insects, the butterfly has six jointed legs, 3 different  body parts, a pair of antennas, eyes and an. The three body parts are the head, chest and the tail.

Did you know: Did you know that there are only 20,000 species of a butterfly species in the whole wide world. The butterfly can only live up to 12 months. The butterfly has many different types of enemies like Birds, birds, dragonflies, ants, rob-flies, hornets, wasps and spiders. 

Different types of butterflies: There are many different types of butterflies in the world here are some: monarch butterfly, ringlet butterfly, vanessa butterfly, small blue butterfly, high brown fritillary butterfly and the large copper butterfly. They can grow up to 6.7 to 7.4 inches (17 to 19 cm). 

Many butterflies can be all different colours, shapes and sizes. Some even have really cool looking patterns on their wings  which they use to blend into things like bushes, flowers, trees and even the ground. 

Conclusion:  I really enjoy researching things about butterflies and I certainly did not know that there were so many butterflies in the world. Researching things about the butterfly was a very interesting topic.
