 A song only I can hear is so far my favourite book that I have read. It is about a boy becoming his own age and falls in love with someone in his school he asks his parents about how they meet and where did they meet and was that place romantice and why did they choose each other after he had ask them that he had told his parents that he was in love. So i recommend that you go and read this book because it might become your favourite book too. Extinct Animal

My Grandparents house

  

This week T2 got told that it was grandparents day on Friday so I decided to do descriptive memory poem.

Looks like:  Pretty rose in the front garden blowing in the cool breeze.

Smells like: grandmas  Freshly baked cookies sitting on the table waiting for me.

 Feels Like: A warm, comfortable  and a  happy place.

Sounds like: Grandad losing in a good game of monopoly.

This Friday was grandparents day and T2 had to make something that we loved or remember about our grandparents this is mine.

Dear Gloria ( great grandmother )
I loved baking and decorating cakes with you and always getting the first one to test them. I loved when you took us fishing and we caught quite a lot of fish and took them home for pop to cook. I love how much you take care of your garden and you always ask me to help and I will always say yes and afterwards you would quickly give me a handful of chocolates to eat with my sisters and you would tell us not to tell Mum and Dad. Thank you for being there when i needed you.

Well once the hole look down thing is over then we might come to see you. Here are some fun things I remember doing with you when I started at your house.

 Do you  remember when me, Destiny, Jaci and Dad had always gone to your house and how we would always mess up your teddy bears when you weren't looking  and you wouldn’t notests them but a few days later that you quote us doing it and we told you that every time we came to stay we would always do it.

Things that you did not know about Nepal

Thought you knew Nepal? Well, maybe it’s time to think again 

In Nepal there  are just around 27,474,000 people 
The money in Nepal is con pleat  different to over here in New Zealand and Australia
They have lots of things that we do't have for example the food in Nepal 
Dal-bhat-tarkari  is a dish that they eat and the language of Nepal is Nepali called Khas-Kura, then Gorkhali the clothes they wear in Nepal they have to wear t-shirts with trouser 
What to do in Nepal: In Nepal there are lots of really fun things to do like you can go to a place called the Pashupatinath temple 

Narrative writing

This week in T2 we have been learning how to write a narrative and this is mine 

The unknown world 

It was stormy and very early in the morning  in the town square the trees were howling and the bushes were rustling everybody was in the houses. It was just around 2.00 in the morning. Then out of nowhere came two enomese trucks and inside where many people wearing black clothing on their shirts were shiny golden beige shaped as a star. Suddenly they started looking around the town square and then started to break into people's houses then Tracy's father and mother came running to the window and said to Tracy to go and get her little brother danle so she ran up the stairs and stopped in the middle and looked back her parents looked worried and started to run around the living room trying to pack some supplies so she kept running up the stairs and woke up her little brother Daniel. Tracy and Daniel were coming down the stairs then with a blink of an eye there were lights  heading towards the door there mother and father told Tracy and danale to lay down on the floor so they did what they were told and dropped  down to the floor the father ran towards the lights on the wall and quickly turned them off. A few minutes later the lights were gone the mother and the father grabbed what they could and told Tracy to take Danial up stairs to get some things then the door swag open and in can the man dressed in black with gold shiny bags on their shirts the mother and father froze and looked around the room for somewhere to hide but it was too late the man in black clothing grabbed both of them and took them to the Truck but when Tracy and Daniel came down stairs they saw that the door was open and that there parents were not around. They searched the whole house but they could not find them then they saw all the trucks drive off in the back of the trucks Tracy saw her mother and father yelling out to “HELP US” so Tracy ran out to help them but it was too late they were already gone. So she closed the door and decided to go to bed and hope it was just a dream. At 4.00 in the morning Tracy awoke and woke up Danial. She ran down the stairs to see if what happened last night was just a dream but it was not. Tracy started to cry and told Daniel that they were going on a Adventure to find their parents so that morning she and her brother set off to find their parents. Tracy look around the room for her mothers handbag then she found it, it was sitting on the kitchen table then Tracy  took danals hand and went to the nearest subway station to see if they could by a ticket but when Tracy went to pay for the ticket a note was sitting on the top she paid for the tickets and got onto the train she opened the bag and pulled out the note and read it, it said (Dear Tracey there are some people coming for me and your father i don’t know why but they have taken us to an unknown place there is a locket in my bag put it on and it will get you the way to find us love mother) She put the note back into the bag and look for the locket it was shaped as a star and was a pretty yellow kind of colour she put it on and she could see which way to go and witch way not to. minutes after minutes hours after hours they waited until the star around her neck started sparkling then she said to the person driving the train to stop and her and her little brother got off the train and followed the way of the star they ended up in places they have never been before then out of nowhere Daniel spotted the truck's speed up behind them Tracy told her brother to run but he had tripped and the man dressed in black came and pick him up and put him in the back of the truck that his parents were in then Tracy looked scared then her parents yelled run Tracy run before her eye there was a man walking up to her he was about to grab her then she made a run for it she ran around the corner and down the street the man was following her until she crossed the road the man had lost the site of Tracy. The star glowed again and the trucks drove off. Tracy followed the trucks but they were driving too fast she could not keep up. Then she came across this bridge the trucks drove across and she followed trying not to get spotted then she was at the end of the bridge and saw something she had never seen before it was an unknown world it was so beautiful she had to stop to think why the man would take her parents to such a great place that they never knew existed until now. The trucks stopped and the man jumped out and grabbed Tracy's parents and her little brother Daniel they took them to the unknown world and said you will be safe here from now on you are not allowed to leave this world it is to dangerous then Tracy picks up a stick and runs towards then but they grabbed her and put her with her family. The man said in a soft voice that you are the chosen ones.

Barbie wants to go for a drive to the mall Move barbies car 2 kg west 

After she goes to the mall she is feeling like going camping 

Move 1 kg to the west 

While she is camping she falls and injures herself so she calls

Her friends to come pick her up and take her to the hospital move 

1 kg south and 1 kg east. 

Barbie has recovered from her injury and is feeling quite thirsty so her and her friends drive to 

Starbucks  move 2 kg to the east.

Barbie and her friends are bored so they they drove to  

  barbies house move 2 kg to the east.

All about Wombats

This week we have been writing explanations and I chose to write mine on a wombat because I find them interesting. We have had to peer assess our writing and this is my final product. I hope you have learnt something about wombats.

Wombat

What is a wombat? A wombat is a  short legendary marsupial that is found throughout Southern Australia and America,and is now found in different places like Victoria, South-eastern, South Australia and Tasmania.Wombats prefer to live in forests, Tasmania mountains and  grasslands and there are 3 extinct species of wombats.

Their lifestyle? Common wombats are solitary animals. However, their home ranges often overlap. There have been known multiple individuals using the same burrow, but at different times. These animals are usually nocturnal and crepuscular (meaning resembling or relating to twilight).

Did you know: That Wombats walk with a waddle. Although they look pudgy and slow, wombats can run up to 25 miles per hour and maintain that speed for a minute and a half and they are champions at digging and they have a backwards facing  pouch and they have square shaped poop that is interesting. 

Wombats are a really fascinating animal and they are really fun to research about and  I did not know that they could run really fast or that they could poop squared shape poop.

This week Totra 2 was asked to choose a cartoon character and  when we  have chosen our character we have to grab a ruler and rule up a graph. After we have ruled up our graph we had to grab a bigger peace of paper and a 5 meter ruler then we have to  draw the graph on the big peace of paper and then we have to start drawing our cartoon character mine was Jerry the mouse off the cartoon tom and Jerry.
