Barbie wants to go for a drive to the mall Move barbies car 2 kg west 

After she goes to the mall she is feeling like going camping 

Move 1 kg to the west 

While she is camping she falls and injures herself so she calls

Her friends to come pick her up and take her to the hospital move 

1 kg south and 1 kg east. 

Barbie has recovered from her injury and is feeling quite thirsty so her and her friends drive to 

Starbucks  move 2 kg to the east.

Barbie and her friends are bored so they they drove to  

  barbies house move 2 kg to the east.

All about Wombats

This week we have been writing explanations and I chose to write mine on a wombat because I find them interesting. We have had to peer assess our writing and this is my final product. I hope you have learnt something about wombats.

Wombat

What is a wombat? A wombat is a  short legendary marsupial that is found throughout Southern Australia and America,and is now found in different places like Victoria, South-eastern, South Australia and Tasmania.Wombats prefer to live in forests, Tasmania mountains and  grasslands and there are 3 extinct species of wombats.

Their lifestyle? Common wombats are solitary animals. However, their home ranges often overlap. There have been known multiple individuals using the same burrow, but at different times. These animals are usually nocturnal and crepuscular (meaning resembling or relating to twilight).

Did you know: That Wombats walk with a waddle. Although they look pudgy and slow, wombats can run up to 25 miles per hour and maintain that speed for a minute and a half and they are champions at digging and they have a backwards facing  pouch and they have square shaped poop that is interesting. 

Wombats are a really fascinating animal and they are really fun to research about and  I did not know that they could run really fast or that they could poop squared shape poop.

This week Totra 2 was asked to choose a cartoon character and  when we  have chosen our character we have to grab a ruler and rule up a graph. After we have ruled up our graph we had to grab a bigger peace of paper and a 5 meter ruler then we have to  draw the graph on the big peace of paper and then we have to start drawing our cartoon character mine was Jerry the mouse off the cartoon tom and Jerry.

The matariki stars

This week all of the kids at grey main  school have been learning about  matariki. I chose to learn about the matariki stars. There are six stars a mother her name is Whaea and she has  5 children  there names are Tupu-a nuku, Tupu-a rangi, Waipuna rangi, Wait  and  Ururangi i had lost of fun learning about the matariki stars. 

Learning how to play the Ukulele

Hi Grey Main! As you might already know my name is Jorja and I am in Totara 2 and for the past week my class and I have been learning how to play the Ukulele. I am really enjoying it. We have learnt so many new notes and we also got to play together as a whole class. Here are some of the notes we learnt:
